Integration Engineer (Oracle SOA)

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to support and maintain Oracle SOA Suite 12.2.1.4 while leading the migration to a modern integration architecture based on microservices, Apache Camel, Spring Boot, and event-driven messaging (Kafka or RabbitMQ). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Oracle SOA Suite 12.2.1.4 (BPEL, OSB, Mediators, Adapters, WebLogic Administration) and expertise in modern API-first and microservices-based integration architectures. This role will require balancing SOA support activities while planning, designing, and implementing new microservices-driven integration solutions.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience with Oracle SOA Suite 12.2.1.4 (BPEL, OSB, Mediators, Adapters).

• 3+ years of experience with Microservices, Apache Camel, and Spring Boot for integration.

• Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS R12.2 integrations (PL/SQL APIs, Oracle Adapter usage).

• Strong expertise in WebLogic Server Administration for SOA deployments.

• Experience working with API Gateways (Kong, WSO2, Apigee, or Tyk).

• Hands-on experience with event-driven integration using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.

• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Helm for containerized deployments.

Responsibilities

• Oracle SOA Suite 12.2.1.4 Support & Maintenance.

• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot Oracle SOA Suite 12.2.1.4(BPEL, OSB, Mediators, Adapters).

• Ensure high availability, error handling, and performance tuningof SOA services.

• Work with Oracle EBS R12.2 functional and technical teamsto support business processes.

• Handle WebLogic Server Administration, performance optimization, and deployments.

• Analyze SOA logs, debugging errors, and ensuring message delivery integrity.

• Maintain and enhance integrations with third-party systems via REST/SOAP services.

• Integration Modernization & Migration to Microservices

• Assess current Oracle SOA Suite 12.2.1.4 workflows (BPEL, Mediators, OSB) and define a migration strategy.

• Design and implement Microservices-based integrationsusing Apache Camel, Spring Boot, and Quarkus.

• Develop and expose RESTful APIs & gRPC servicesto replace SOAP-based SOA integrations.

• Implement event-driven architectureusing Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.

• Deploy microservices-based integrations using Docker/Kubernetes for scalability.

• Ensure backward compatibility and smooth transition from Oracle SOA to modern services.

• Database & Data Integration

• Implement ETL/Batch integrationsusing Talend, Apache NiFi, or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

• Convert SOA-based database integrations to event-driven architecture.

• DevOps, CI/CD & Automation

• Implement CI/CD pipelinesfor integration services using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.

• Automate integration testing using Postman, JMeter, or Karate.

• Deploy monitoring tools like Prometheus, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), and Grafana.
